Before you go
- I-40 Exit 319 at McGee’s Crossroads. Call ahead for dinner if you worry about sellouts.
- Burnt ends are typically Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday only.
- Weekday breakfast runs 6–10am drive-thru only; the lunch-and-dinner room opens at 11am.

The Redneck BBQ Lab in Benson grew out of the Redneck Scientific competition team, cooking NC pork, brisket, ribs, and scratch sides fresh each day at McGee’s Crossroads off I-40.
Meats go on overnight; when a cut is gone, it is gone. Pair it with Low and Slow when you are building a Johnston County day.
